The Long-Term Apartment at Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth was a perfect match for Gabe’s family. Gabe was born with multiple congenital heart defects and underwent his first open-heart surgery at just two days old. His family traveled to Fort Worth so that he could receive life-saving treatment.
Ian needs to stay at the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth when he’s far from home for treatment.
Hattie Ligons, 74, holds great-grandson Martrevion Ligons, 12, inside their room at Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth on Oct. 19, 2023. The Ligons family has been staying at the facility for about five months. Martrevion was diagnosed with cancer when he was 2 months old, Hattie said. Martrevion now is battling his third bout with the disease and recently received a bone marrow transplant.
After 150 days at the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth, the entire family could finally go home together with baby Gwyneth!
