Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, House Relations Team

Role

The Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Coordinator’s primary responsibility is preparing guest bedrooms and performing light maintenance. They are knowledgeable of the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth’s mission, goals, and objectives and ensure that all policies and procedures are appropriately implemented.

  • Monitors the facility and grounds for repairs and maintenance.
  • Reviews all maintenance request forms and coordinates completion of minor tasks with the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Performs all repair and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains RMH vehicles, including coordinating all routine maintenance.
  • Runs errands for house.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer, Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, and House Relations Manager.

About You

  • You have the desire to help RMHFW families and make a difference in our communities.
  • Basic carpentry, sheetrock, plumbing, painting, cabinetry, and light maintenance.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to function collaboratively as a team member.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment, decision-making ability, and flexibility.
  • Maintains a professional manner to work with vendors, staff, families, volunteers, and the community.

 

Education and Experience

  • 1 – 3 years experience in a facilities maintenance role.
  • Proficient working knowledge of computer maintenance programs and Microsoft Office software.
  • Preferred: Proficient in speaking Spanish and writing Spanish is a plus.

 

Work Environment

  • Reports to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Work hours: 25 hours/week, M-F 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Some evening or weekend on-call hours may be required
  • Less than 10% travel

  • Frequently/moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across the office for various needs
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Constantly traverse the office to access file cabinets, and machinery, position self, ascend/descent, and work atop to complete tasks
