OVERVIEW: The Community and Donor Engagement Coordinator will play a pivotal and dynamic role in our organization, focusing on cultivating new community partnerships and enhancing existing relationships. This position is critical in advancing fundraising initiatives, particularly in expanding and fortifying our collaborations with McDonald’s partners and third-party event organizers. Central to this role is cultivating community relationships and stewardship of donors to ensure our mission’s sustained growth and success. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

McDonald’s Partnership: 

  • Create and activate a plan to cultivate and grow relationships with McDonald’s owner-operators, managers, and other stakeholders to drive the growth and expansion of Round-Up initiatives and other McDonald’s programs. 
  • Manage McDonald’s calendar to facilitate regular engagement and stewardship activities, including delivery of Round-Up incentives etc. 

Community Engagement: 

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with the local community, including businesses, schools, community groups, and individuals. 
  • Represent RMHFW at outreach activities, community fairs, and speaking engagements to raise awareness about our mission. 

Pop Tab Program: 

  • Manage and promote the Pop Tab Program, which collects aluminum tabs from beverage cans to support RMHFW fundraising efforts. 
  • Collaborate with schools, businesses, and community organizations to encourage participation in the Pop Tab Program. 
  • Track and report on program metrics, including tab collection volumes and revenue generated. 

Donor Relations: 

  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and community organizations in portfolio. 
  • Coordinate donor recognition and stewardship activities to ensure donors feel valued and appreciated for their contributions. 

North Texas Giving Day (NTXGD): 

  • Serve as the team lead for NTXGD and collaborate with the MarComm and Development teams to create a comprehensive campaign. 
  • Develop a solicitation and stewardship campaign to meet and exceed budget goals for NTXGD. 

Third-Party Event Management: 

  • Create a plan and prospect list to increase third-party event revenue. 
  • Coordinate and execute third-party fundraisers and peer-to-peer fundraisers. 
  • Solicit, cultivate, and steward relationships with third-party fundraising donors. 
  • Manage a portfolio of 50 or more third-party donors and prospects, including research and moves management plans. 

Other Event Management and Duties: 

  • Attend community events, networking events, conferences, education programs, and online training to further fundraising knowledge and professional development. 
  • Collaborate with the RMHFW MarComm team on all marketing needs for third-party events, donor cultivation, and other projects. 
  • Work all RMHFW special events. 
  • Support the development team with assistance on special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university 
  • Ability to function responsibly and autonomously 
  • Desire to help RMHFW families and make a difference in your community 
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, team player, creative and must have an acute attention to detail in writing and in managing multiple projects 
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and community relations skills 
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office software 

A Plus: 

  • Fundraising or customer service experience 
  • Donor database experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Marketing: 

  • Devise multichannel campaigns to generate awareness and engagement as part of the broader Development and Marketing team. 
  • Assist in managing an annual marketing calendar that includes all campaigns, appeals, events, and communication initiatives. 
  • Coordinate and help organize Marketing requests, including, but not limited to, taking the lead on our project management tool (Monday.com). 

Communications: 

  • Create compelling content for e-newsletters, social media, emails, newsletters, digital signage, blogs, and other communications. 
  • Work closely with the House Relations team to connect and interview families to provide monthly family stories for social media, blogs, newsletters, direct mail, etc. 

Digital Marketing: 

  • Develop and execute social media strategy across channels and actively manage the RMHFW’s digital reputation. 
  • Assist in the design and development of on-brand social media content (graphics, videos, photos, and/or copy) for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok) 

Brand Management: 

  • Assist in the design and production of promotional materials, internal and external signage, and other marketing materials; Ensure all marketing materials and communications align with RMHFW’s brand standards. 
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all channels.

Team Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support fundraising events and campaigns, volunteer recruitment, and community outreach activities. 
  • Create marketing collaterals for all fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals. 
  • Assist in promoting and marketing special events, including donor recognition and stewardship initiatives. 
  • Attend special event committee meetings. 

Analytics and Reporting: 

  • Provide metrics and campaign performances for monthly board reports.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Knowledge of general business communications and management principles, including marketing, public relations, and fundraising. 
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in a communications/marketing role; demonstrable work at internships may substitute for one year of experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or related discipline required (radio/television/film degree). 
  • Strong computer, graphic design, photography, and video skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Canva, DSLR camera) 
  • Experience in non-profit communications/marketing is a plus. 

House Relations Support, House Relations Team

Reports To:  House Relations Manager

OVERVIEW: The primary responsibility of the House Relations Support is to serve as support to the House Relations Manager. The House Relations Support is knowledgeable of the mission, goals, and objectives of the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth (RMHFW) and assists with all areas of operations.

 

JOB DUTIES:

OPERATIONS COORDINATION

  • Ensures clear communication with families on all House policies and procedures
  • Communicates accurate eligibility criteria to referral sources and families
  • Works with House Relations Manager and House Relations Staff to ensure an effective transition for coverage
  • Performs background checks on all adults 18 years and older staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth
  • Performs daily review of census and coordinates with the House Relations Manager and other House Relations Staff on the room availability status
  • Performs check-in and check-out procedures
  • Assists in kitchen/dining area during lunch/dinner and clean up
  • Communicates with the House Relations Manager and House Relations Staff regarding family issues
  • Being available during your work schedule shift or holiday periods
  • Maintains supply of all Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth printed materials, including guest packets, and all operations forms
  • Ensures monetary room contributions are accurately collected and reflected on the family’s record
  • If applicable, assists with transactions and recording of the day’s activity to the daily log, proper documentation of monetary room contributions, merchandise sales, and accounting for all receipts
  • Responds appropriately to emergencies and incidents in accordance with RMHFW Crisis Manual
  • Assists in the morning opening of the facility (playroom, family rooms, breakfast items)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

FACILITY SUPPORT

  • Monitoring and aware of individuals and groups that have access to the house
  • Opens up designated rooms at the beginning of the shift
  • Communicates house needs with contract janitorial staff during the designated work hours
  • Maintains working knowledge of RMHFW Crisis Manual
  • Responds appropriately to emergencies and incidents in accordance with RMHFW policies
  • Conducts daily inspections of the House, grounds to identify safety, maintenance, housekeeping, and overall appearance issues, and coordinates resolution with the House Relations Manager, maintenance, or service providers; reports maintenance issues as needed
  • Directs the resolution of maintenance issues to ensure the safety of guest families during designated morning work hours
  • Responds appropriately to emergencies and incidents in accordance with RMHFW policies
  • Ensures cleanliness and readiness of rooms before family check-in when applicable

FAMILY SERVICES

  • Demonstrates an atmosphere of warmth, compassion, and support always to ensure a nurturing atmosphere
  • Maintain positive guest relations
  • Effectively communicates with referral sources regarding family dynamics, residency status, and any other family concerns
  • Coordinates check-in and check-out process with the House Relations Manager and House Relations Staff.
  • Provides information to families on current community activities and events in the DFW area, including coordinating RMHFW passes to local attractions
  • Coordinates the disbursement of all tickets to events that have been donated to the house, working with the House Relations Manager and House Relations Staff to select families to attend
  • Organizes transportation for families if necessary

VOLUNTEER/COMMUNITY RELATIONS

  • Provides support and direction to volunteers in collaboration with the Volunteer Services Manager and House Relations Manager
  • Communicates with Volunteer Services Manager about any unique situations with a volunteer
  • Ensures that all donations other than monetary donations are entered in the donation book
  • Assist the early afternoon cooking groups with food storage and kitchen clean up
  • Conducts tours for volunteers and groups during the morning as needed
  • Encourages volunteer interaction with families
  • Maintains an awareness of Board functions and Board members in general
