Chief Operating Officer
Lauri is a person whose life is committed to service to others. She has built her career around this ideal as is proved out through more than 15 years of service to families at the Ronald McDonald House. Early career training in apartment management equipped her with the skills to operate a facility the size of the RMHFW and mid-career training in budgeting and financial responsibility position her well for her role as Chief Operating Officer.
But the RMHFW is much more than a career for Lauri. It is a true labor of love. She knows our families very well; they return frequently to visit Lauri and reconnect with the place that made them feel loved and supported during some of their most difficult times. Lauri, a life-long Fort Worthian, is the devoted and proud mom of three grown children, one son and two girls, but she is also “fur-mom” to Mac, the Ronald McDonald House dog, aka Chief Love and Comfort Officer. Lauri and Mac are often out in the House, ensuring that the facility is maintained, but they are also out in the community frequently sharing the mission of the House.
One of Lauri’s favorite quotes is “To thine own self, be true.” She epitomizes this statement every day when she arrives to work, ready to give what she needs when its needed most - serving others.
