Providing Love and Comfort

For nine years

Job Well Done, Mac

We have some difficult news to share. It is with a heavy heart, we write that our sweet dood, Mac, passed away the morning of September 3, surrounded by his mom, Lauri, and his family, who loved him most. While Mac’s work here is done, his impact and love will continue for years to come.

Mac, formally named McLovin’, was born in The Woodlands, TX in 2010.Lone Star Labradoodles hand-picked him for the job at RMHFW, and he came to work every day at the House for nine wonderful years. Mac was our first-ever Chief Love and Comfort Officer, and was one of the first House dogs at any RMHC program.

In November 2019, he officially retired from his duties, but in his last few months, he came to the House every day to do what he loved most, love on our families. He gave comfort to so many in need over the past 12 years and will be dearly missed by many.

Mac’s vet, said it best: “Job well done, Mac; job well done.”

Thank you all for loving Mac so well.
